This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on www.evoliafoundation.org. It is provided under Section 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003), the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021, Directive 2002/58/EC and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device and reads back on later visits. “Similar technologies” include the browser’s local storage, pixels and fingerprinting. They are technical when they are needed to provide the service you asked for, and these do not require consent. All others, such as analytics that are not anonymised, profiling or marketing cookies, may be used only after you have agreed.
2. Cookies used by this site
At the date of this policy the site sets one first-party technical cookie and nothing else. It does not use local storage, pixels, fingerprinting, analytics or advertising tools.
| Name | Set by | Category | Purpose and content | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
evolia_consent |
evoliafoundation.org (first party) | Strictly necessary | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie notice so that it is respected and you are not asked again on every page. Contains: a random consent ID, the policy version, the date of the choice and an on/off value for each category. It is not used to track you. | 6 months |
This cookie is set only once you have interacted with the notice (accept, reject, save or close). Until then nothing is stored on your device.
3. Categories and consent
The cookie notice lets you choose by category:
- Strictly necessary: always on. Only the cookie listed above.
- Analytics: off by default. No analytics tool is currently installed.
- Marketing and third-party content: off by default. No such tool or embed is currently installed.
The two optional categories exist so that, should we add a tool of that kind in the future, it is technically blocked until you opt in. Before that happens this page will list the tool, its provider, its cookies and their duration, and you will be asked for your choice again.
How the notice works:
- “Accept all” and “Reject all” are given the same prominence; “Customise” lets you decide category by category.
- Closing the notice with the X keeps the default settings: optional categories stay off.
- Scrolling or continuing to browse is never treated as consent, and the site is fully usable whatever you choose.
- Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which the notice is shown again. It is also shown again if the categories or this policy change materially.
4. Proof of your choice
To be able to demonstrate that consent was asked for and respected (Art. 7(1) GDPR), each choice is also recorded on our server with: date and time, the random consent ID contained in the cookie, the policy version, the action taken, the on/off value of each category, the page you were on and the browser family (for example “Chrome, desktop”). The IP address is not recorded in this log. Records are deleted automatically after 24 months.
5. How to change your choice
You can review, change or withdraw your choice at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent:
The same panel is always available from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. It also shows your consent ID and the date of your last choice.
You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. If you delete the evolia_consent cookie, the notice will simply be shown again.
6. Third parties
The site does not load resources from third parties: fonts, images, style sheets and scripts are all served from our own domain, so no third party can set or read cookies while you browse these pages. Links to external sites (for example voiceforpurpose.com) take you to websites with their own cookie policies.
7. Controller and your rights
Evolia Foundation is being established; until then the data controller is its founder, Fabio Minazzi. Contact details, legal bases, retention, recipients and the rights you have under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR, including the right to complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, are set out in the Privacy Policy.
