Technology is transforming our world. How can we ensure everyone benefits?
The Evolia Foundation exists to bring people closer, enable participation, and serve human potential, through technology.

Technology is transforming our world at extraordinary speed. It can expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and improve lives. But innovation does not guarantee benefits. Without a clear social purpose, it can deepen inequalities and create new barriers.
We advance communication, inclusion, and equitable access, helping individuals and communities navigate change and shape the future. We develop, support, and scale innovative solutions powered by digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
Innovation becomes meaningful when it is accessible to everyone.
What we hold ourselves to
Every initiative is grounded in ethics, accessibility, equal opportunity, and respect for human dignity.
These are not secondary considerations; they are what transform technological advancement into meaningful social progress.
From research to measurable social impact
Our projects connect scientific research with practical action.
We support research addressing urgent social challenges, provide services for disadvantaged people, advance initiatives serving the public good, and promote human, civil, and social rights. We also invest in education, vocational training, and cultural programs that create lasting shared opportunity.
By bringing together researchers, innovators, institutions, communities, and philanthropic partners, we work toward a future in which development is not reserved for the few, but becomes a source of dignity, participation, and opportunity for all.

Projects
Voice for Purpose
The Evolia Foundation has adopted Voice for Purpose, a project dedicated to voice donation and to restoring a personal voice to people who rely on speech-generating devices to communicate.
2022
Pilot
Launched as a pilot project, Voice for Purpose successfully achieved its initial goals: more than 6,000 voice donors, more than 200 patients supported, and a technology readiness level of 8.
Phase two
European supercomputing
The project received funding from the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), securing 200,000 computing hours on Leonardo, CINECA's Italian supercomputer. This enabled the project to:
Develop text-input prediction algorithms in 24 languages for people with motor disabilities
Create expressive zero-shot voice models in all 24 official languages of the European Union
24 official languages of the European Union, one voice model for each.
Next
From pilot to service
This unique and successful experience has paved the way for Voice for Purpose to become, through the Evolia Foundation, a large-scale service accessible to people affected by the many medical conditions that can impair or prevent speech.
ALS
